Please Note that this is a passion project.
The reason is very simple I think this song slaps! but I find it very UGLY every time the cover pops up on Spotify. This feeling is due to being aware of, how different the current design style is now.
The cover is very nostalgic and the style was iconic which is amazing but I want to see it reinterpreted to the current day style.
The inspiration was the current famous albums and the ones that I wanted to draw inspiration were from 21 savage, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar. The aspects I wanted to include are the harsh color difference between the black and red. Not including the artists face and focus more on the impression you can get from seeing the cover.
There was initial heavy inspiration from the lyrics "ice ice baby" as it is very iconic. The most recognizable idea would be to take the concept literally. For visual interest Ice and ice shards was a heavy utilized for this idea.

The logo at the bottom is a "Cupid with a machine gun" it means spread the love,
the machine gun has love bullets.
The final idea proposition was one very inspired from maximalist and anti design movement. With a heavy monochrome color palette.
